Jen Warman

Website Manager

Jen Warman

Jen shares the role of website manager, maintaining the Borderline Arts website and updating content.

Where are you from?
Originally from Somerset but I’m now living in Nottingham.

Why did you choose to volunteer at Borderline Arts?
I’m currently studying to become a web developer and was looking for opportunities to gain more hands-on experience. With a background in art and design and having previously volunteered for both an arts collective and a mental health support group I thought it was the perfect match.

What is your role in Borderline Arts?
Website Manager.

What is your occupation outside Borderline Arts?
Currently I work part time as a Merchandiser for a large international jewellery supplier, while studying to become a full-stack web developer.

How long have you volunteered with Borderline Arts?
Since October 2023.

What is your favourite colour?
Black. It’s basically my uniform at this point.

What’s one of your favourite places in the world?
Berlin, Germany. I lived there for 7 years and it’s still my absolute favourite place in the world.

Do you have any phobias?
Moths. Irrational? Most definitely.

Marmite: love it or hate it?
Love it.

An interesting (or weird) fact about you?
I LOVE embroidery. At university my graduate collection included hand embroidered wallpaper that was featured in the Guardian, Period Living and Elle Decor and 10 plus years later I’m still sewing! However, now I focus on commissioned pet portraits.

Do you have any pets?
Yes, a black and white cat named Fussy. He is a grumpy senior gentleman who truly lives up to his name and I adore him.

Introvert or Extrovert?
100% Introvert.
